My Yacht Designs and the Lessons They Taught Me Chuck Paine Fri. 2pm Yacht designer Chuck Paine will be speaking on yacht design and giving a reading from his new book at the Camden Public Library. Paine is a well-known yacht designer. Well over 1000 individual yachts have been built to Paine's designs. His office was located on Atlantic Avenue in Camden, and although Paine retired in 2008, he remains active in the boating field, as a lecturer on the subject of design at yacht clubs, major boat shows, and at libraries in support of his book.
